Six Point Star in Indigo - Indian Block Print on Organic Cotton

A traditional Indian block print featuring a six point star quilt design is back in a gorgeous indigo! This is hand printed with mud and wooden blocks (called "mud resist printing") and then dipped into vats of handmade botanical indigo dye, the mud is gently washed away, and the fabric is laid to dry in the hot sun. 

This dreamily soft organic cotton is very lightweight and breathable. It has a crisp feeling, similar to cotton shirting. All block prints may have some slightly uneven dying/ printing which adds to the handmade charm. Each star is about 1.5 by 1.5 inches.

• *Care / Expectations*:

  This hand block printed fabric may arrive with slight printing irregularities and a mild earthy scent—both are normal and part of its handmade charm.

  • Wash cold with like colors
   • Add a handful of salt to first wash to reduce fading
  • Optional: white vinegar in the first wash helps remove scent
   • Delicate cycle, lay flat or hang to dry (tumble dry will make it fade more)

  Indigo bleeds like crazy —always wash with similar tones.
