A soft-washed 16-wale cotton corduroy with a gently broken-in, vintage feel. (Wale refers to the number of ridges per inch—so 16 wale means a finer, more subtle texture.) This one hits that sweet spot: midweight with enough structure to hold its shape, but still easy and comfortable to wear. Please note that this isn't a bottom-weight for making jeans.
It’s also a very approachable fabric to sew with—the fine wale gives you a smooth, stable surface without the bulk of heavier cords.
Perfect for spring and fall transitional pieces like elastic waist pants, button down shirts, casual overalls, and dresses with a bit of structure.
