Velour Du Jour - 100% Cotton - French Designer Deadstock

Remember those Juicy Couture tracksuits that took over the 2000s? This is the same kind of vibe but in the most fun primary colors and featuring 100% cotton. I personally have a hard time finding velour in fabric shops that pure cotton and not blended with poly etc so I was delighted to find this. These soft and squishy mid-to-heavy-weight velours hail from France and are deadstock (leftover from designers) and we were lucky enough to score matching ribs!

Note that this isn't velvet... this is completely matte and isn't shiny. It is easier to sew with than velvet and is fairly stable. There is no spandex here but it has some stretch due to being a knit. So we are talking about a "low recovery knit." Read more about this fabric on the shop blog.

Also note that this fabric is 70" wide! You could fit a lot in a yard with this width. Please note that there are holes along the selvedge.
