Japanese Heavy Cotton French Terry - Deadstock
Japanese Heavy Cotton French Terry - Deadstock

Guys. This is seriously the fabric of my dreams. French terry this heavy and thick is hard to find, especially in 100% cotton. You could take this dreamy cozy fabric in so many directions - since its 100% cotton with almost no stretch, it could be used for many woven fabric patterns or you can go the classic terry route and make the sweatsuit of your dreams.
This gem is a deadstock from Japan and is surprisingly wide at 61" so you don't even need too much to make a garment. The "sage" green has a little bit of olive undertones but is cool/muted and the "cinnamon" is very warm and is somewhere between rust and a rich brown.
Example 1: Bethany, the shop owner, made the Wren Fleece by Daughter Judy patterns and used this ribbing from Urban Kids Fabric.
Example 2: Katie of @girlandboyd made the coziest Pogonip Pullover by Friday Pattern Co.
