Sew Small September!

Sew Small September!

Happy September!

I am participating in a new sewing challenge that inspires sewists to support small sewing businesses. This is called Sew Small September and is hosted by Nat from @neighborhoodpatterns and Madeline from @madswick_studio. So many small sewing businesses are giving away *amazing* prizes and there is a $100 Fluid + Drape gift card in the mix. I started this fabric store in April 2023 so my shop is very new and small and I can't wait to celebrate other small sewing businesses.

I am also offering a discount code for the month of September to celebrate:

Use this discount code for 15% off your order (only applies to full-price items) for the month of September (ends September 30th at 11:59pm PST).

This image features a gorgeous stack of woven yarn-dyed cottons from Fableism - check out our Fableism collection here. They are a smaller and newer fabric supplier so I am happy to feature them here for Sew Small September.

Here are some points about Sew Small September from Madeline Southwick's shop blog (designer of Madswick Studio):

To encourage people to sew from small/growing designers and fabric shops. This will create brand awareness for small businesses and increase the sewing community's knowledge about up-and-coming designers.
Sew Small September is a sewing challenge hosted by Madeline (@madswick_studio) and Nat (@neighborhoodpatterns) to help sewists worldwide find small pattern designers and fabric stores. It will be a month of creating, sharing, and winning! We consider “small” to be under 15K followers on Instagram at the start of this challenge.
Requirements/how to enter
Sew something from a pattern company or fabric store with less than 15k followers. Post about your make and use the #sewsmallseptember to enter the challenge. There is no post limit!
Check out this post to see the 9 prize bundles being offered by over 30 small shops! We will also be doing giveaways each week for those who are sharing our weekly story challenges. Be sure to follow @neighborhoodpatterns and @madswick_studio to find out how to enter."
